Atmospheric Environmental Studies

Outline of research

Focusing on the environmental and climate impact of atmospheric particles (aerosols) such as Asian dust and PM2.5. Responsible for running an atmospheric monitoring supersite at the tip of Noto peninsula that extends into the Japan sea, and much of his recent efforts involved long-term observation of atmospheric trace species at the remote coastal site. Research interests include the detailed characterization of individual particles as well as isotopic source identification of anthropogenic and natural aerosols.
