要旨：養殖真珠産業 (年間輸出額約300億円) は, 今後も健全に発展させることを国として強く推進している日本の重要な輸出産業の１つである。そのためには, 真珠形成母貝アコヤガイの大量死や低品質真珠形成を引き起こす疾病の解決が必要不可欠である。本講演では, これまでに得られた疾病に関する研究成果と展望について紹介する。
