研究内容

Air pollution has become a global hot issue with significant adverse effects on climate change and human health. According to the World Health Organization, air pollution causes approximately 7 million deaths worldwide each year. China is the leading producer of air pollution around the world and contributes the highest air pollution-attributable mortality. Additionally, atmospheric diffusion and reactions cause a wider distribution and enhanced toxicity of air pollutants. Therefore, the air pollutants originating in China and their further evolution have a significant impact on the atmospheric environment and health burden in East Asia. My research included the characteristics and health effects of air pollutants in major cities in China, as well as the evolution mechanism of pollutants, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) that are a class of semi-volatile aromatics with potential carcinogenicity and/or mutagenicity, in different atmospheric environments.Today, I am pursuing my studies in ‘climate-relevant aerosol properties’ and in ‘marine atmospheric aerosols’, through NOTOGRO observatory and its facilities.
